Today in the morning, we used Sketch Up to create a night light. It was hard to create it because I needed to figure out how to use all of the tools. After all it is only my second day. We spent basically all morning on the night lights. Andrew our instructor, had very different approach to it: he made his a little bigger than mine. Everyone in fact had a different approach. We had to import pictures of a LED light and a solar panel and also a switch. At first to me it was weird that we were basically learning how to make a nigh light but after everything it made sense because , he explained that it is about learning. We learned about Input/ Output before actually working on the computer. We took some notes on what objects inputs and outputs were. For example, we used a computer: the monitor would be an output and the keyboards would be an input.
In the afternoon, we played a game based on taboo, well we used the taboo pieces basically. We were learning about sketches and how to create a sketch. We learned about an architect who created a building that I thought looked sort of like a jacket in his sketch. But goes to show you that basically it can be a sketch of any thing really you just need the artist to clarify. everyone was very eager to play the game. But overall we learned that its really not that hard to sketch, But on the flip side it is hard to interpret what the sketch really is because many people have different points of view so it could really look like anything.
